Anselmo Contracting (“we,” “us”) is a carpentry and general contracting business in Burnaby, British Columbia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through anselmocontracting.ca, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

Information we collect

• Information you give us. When you request a quote or contact us, we collect what you enter in the form, such as your name, email address, phone number, project location and project details, along with anything you send us by email or phone.
• Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site and hosting record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and when. We use Jetpack, a service from Automattic, for site security and visitor statistics, which processes this kind of information.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your inquiry, prepare quotes, schedule and carry out work, communicate with you about your project, keep our website secure, and understand how the site is used. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we won’t add you to marketing emails without your permission.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the website and our business (website hosting, Jetpack/Automattic, our email provider, and a content-delivery network that serves the site’s icons), and with anyone we are legally required to share it with. Some of these providers store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

Cookies

Our site uses a small number of cookies, mainly so the site works properly and to collect anonymous statistics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and project information only as long as we need it to respond to you, complete your project, and meet our legal and tax record-keeping obligations. After that, we delete it.

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of sending or storing data online is completely secure.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our use of it (subject to legal or contractual limits). To make a request, contact us as described below. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

Children

Our website is not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
